Do you have a store I can visit?

Not at this time. If you would like to see our designs in person and you live in the Monterey Bay or surrounding areas please Contact Us and we can schedule an appointment to meet. All of our consultations are held at a mutually agreed upon location, like a coffee shop or cafe. We can also meet at Exhibit Floral Studio in South Salinas. If you are interested in learning more about their floral design services, let me know and we'll schedule a joint consultation for you!


Are the colors I see on your website the actual colors of the product?

We have done our best to accurately represent our designs and products via the photos and information given on this website. However, some colors and fonts may appear different on your computer depending on your monitor settings. If you have any questions about a particular product, we encourage you to Contact Us.


 

 


What are my payment options?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and PayPal payments as well as checks or money orders. If you have any questions, please Contact Us.


What are my shipping options in the United States?

Wall Art and Birth Records:

We are happy to provide FREE shipping for all orders within the United States as well as to our military via APO/FPO addresses. Our prints are shipped via USPS Priority Mail, while gift certificates are sent via USPS First Class Mail.  If you need faster shipping, please contact us for a quote.

 

Invitations and Stationery:

We primarily ship these orders via Fed Ex. You are free to request an alternate shipping method. A shipping quote will be provided to you during the production stage. We also may be able to make a local delivery, however this is subject to our discretion.


Do you accept international orders?

Yes! For our invitation and stationery orders we will provide you with a shipping quote. These orders generally ship via Fed Ex International. 

 

For our Wall Art and Birth Records we ship internationally via United States Postal Service International Priority Mail depending on availability. Please refer to the table below for countries and shipping rates:

Do you charge sales tax on your products? Yes, we are required by law to collect sales tax on purchases shipped to California addresses.

What is your return policy?

Customer satisfaction is our goal. If there is a problem with your invitation or stationery order, let us know and we'll work with you to make things right.

 

If you are not completely happy with our Wall Art or Birth Records, you may return your item within 90 days of purchase for a full refund.

 

To return an item:

 

1. Make a copy of your packing slip, circle the item you are returning and note the reason for return. *If you are seeking a replacement, please use our Contact Us form before returning the product. Please make sure to indicate your order number in the subject line.

 

2. Package the print, including the packing slip and return via mail to:

3. Allow 2 weeks from date of mailing for your refund to be processed.

 

*Please note that all refunds will be issued via check made out to the purchaser and sent to the billing address.

Do you have a catalog?

Our website currently serves as a product catalog. If you are unable to view our website or would like a printout of our products for someone who does not have internet access, please Contact Us to place a request.


What if I am not comfortable ordering online?

Please be assured that ordering online with us is safe- we have taken every measure to ensure a secure shopping environment for our customers. However, for our wall art prints and birth records we are pleased to offer you the option of ordering via mail or fax as well as online. You may download our order form, complete it and mail with check, money order or credit card information to: BC Design Studio, Attn: Product Orders, PO Box 10097, Salinas, CA 93912. Or you may fax your order form to (831) 621-4712.

 

For invitations and stationery, we also accept checks and money orders, however your items will not ship until payment is finalized.



What is the process for ordering?

How many invitations should I order?

We always recommend going over your guest list a few times to get a final count, then adding 5-10 extra invitations to your order.  You may discover later you've left someone off your initial list, or want to invite a new friend and it is much more expensive to add them later.


Do you offer items for events other than weddings?

Yes! From birth announcements to anniversary parties, we'd love to help create the stationery for your event. A minimum quantity of 10 for standard invitations and 25 for inviations with using our Classic Silk elements is required. Please Contact Us for more details.


How much do you charge?

For our Signature semi-custom invitations, please visit our Signature Collection page and click on each design for pricing.

Our Custom Design prices are just that- custom- depending on the style, materials used, etc. Visit our Custom Design Pricing page for more information.

 


What is your minimum order?

For our Signature invitations, we have a minimum order quantity that varies depending on the style, usually 20-25 pieces. Check the specific design page for details.

For Custom Designs, we have a minimum order amount of $500 but no quantity restrictions.


Do you work with clients outside the U.S.?

Yes! Most of our clients are located in the United States, but we are happy to work with international clients to design a wedding stationery suite! Our initial conversation works best via email, please fill out the Custom Inquiry form and we'll go from there!


Can you help with invitation wording?

After our initial consultation, we provide you with a Style Guide that outlines your font choices, as well as guidelines for choosing your invitation wording and the correct way to address your envelopes. We also recommend websites such as VerseIt, which has many great wording guidelines!


I'm confused on what wording to use- help!

We often get questions on invitation wording- two things in particular:

  • Should I use honour or honor? Favour or favor?  This is really a matter of personal preference between British English and American English. British English tends to have a more formal air to it and so many choose to use it. Choose whichever one you like just make sure to be consistent- if you choose honour on the main card, make sure you use favour on the RSVP card.
  • Which is correct - ' Two thousand and ten' or 'Two thousand ten'?  There is a lot of disagreement on this among wedding professionals and brides on various forums- which version is right and which is wrong. The best explanation I've found is that both are correct: 'Two thousand ten' is the American English way of saying it and 'Two thousand and ten' is British English. Don't stress over it, just choose what sounds best to you. And if anyone says anything about it, they have too much time on their hands!

Will you proofread our text?

No. Generally I try to look over everything before we print, and will let you know if I find a mistake, but it is your responsibility to proofread. There are certain things I just won't know (like how to spell your fiance's middle name or if there is a typo in your street address) and so I suggest you proofread twice and have another person look it over for you as well.


What printing methods do you offer?

We offer three standard printing methods:

  • Digital: When printed with a digital printer, the ink lies flat on the paper and is smooth to the touch. This is the most affordable option we offer and the best option for invitations with handpainted designs since Brenna's artwork contains multiple color values. All of our signature invitations shown are priced using this printing method.
  • Thermography: This method creates a raised lettering effect, similar but less expensive than engraving. Many of our signature designs can be printed using thermography, Contact Us for an estimate.
  • Letterpress: This method involves the text and design being stamped into the paper using a press. Letterpress is a bit more expensive than the other options, but gives a very luxurious feeling to the invitation. This method is best suited for our line art designs and text only invitations. Multiple colors can be used, but each adds to the cost. Contact Us for an estimate.

Can you address my envelopes?

Yes!  We use digital calligraphy and print your guest addresses in the same fonts used in the invitation. We charge $1.25 per envelope for this service. At this time, hand addressing is not available. All invitations come standard with your return address added.



Do you offer framing?

At this time we do not offer framing for our prints. We feel that every customer should be able to choose the exact color frame to match the décor or furniture of the room where the print will be displayed. Since we cannot offer a full selection of frames at this time, our prints are sold double-matted and unframed. 

 

There are many sources for good quality frames. All of our prints and birth records are sized to fit in a standard 11x14 frame. For your convenience we’ve assembled a list of stores where you may find frames.


I don't know the baby’s name or gender. Can I still give a print as a gift?

Yes! Our gift certificates make perfect gifts for situations like this. Simply add a Gift Certificate to your shopping cart and provide us with the recipients’ name and address and we’ll mail the gift certificate, along with redemption instructions in our custom certificate folder and coordinating envelope, topped with a double-faced satin ribbon bow. The recipient can choose their favorite design and provide us with the baby’s details. It’s that simple!  


I’d like to order one of your products as a gift. Will it arrive 'gift-ready’?

Yes! Whether you choose to have the print shipped to you to give in person, or shipped directly to the recipient, be assured that your print will arrive in gift-ready condition. We have worked with a box manufacturer to create a custom gift box, which is included free with every order. Your print will arrive double-matted, sealed in an acid-free protective bag, placed in our custom gift box and wrapped with double-faced satin ribbon. You also have the option of adding a free gift enclosure card!


How soon will I receive my order?

After receiving your order, we routinely ship your products within 3 business days, often sooner.  This does not apply to Custom Design work, which may take up to 2 weeks to ship.

 

Shipping time for US orders is 3-5 days via USPS Priority Mail and 5 days via USPS First Class Mail. Please note that the above timelines are approximate- once we ship your products we have no control over how fast they will arrive from the Postal Service, and delivery times can vary depending on weather and other factors. We ship all packages with Delivery Confirmation and an email will be sent to you for package tracking. 

 

International orders vary depending on shipping method used. Global Priority Mail may take 4-6 days, while Airmail Parcel Post may take up to 10 days.  


How should I care for my print?

Like other works of art on paper, our prints should be placed behind glass or plexiglass and hung out of direct sunlight to prevent fading.  We have made every effort to use acid-free materials to ensure the long life of your print. Your print comes enclosed in an acid-free archival bag – we encourage you to keep this bag for storage if you decide to change out your child’s wall art down the road.  


Do you accept custom design orders?

Yes, we are pleased to offer custom work for those who want a particular design to match a specific theme or colors in a child’s room.  We have three options to choose from:  

  

1. Custom Recoloring: We can recolor any image to match the colors in your child's room at an additional cost of $10 per design. To place this type of order, please contact us.

 

2. Custom Design Print: Suggest a design for us to add to our catalog. We'll create the design and allow you to purchase the first print at no additional charge. Just let us know what design you are looking for! This is an affordable way to get a look that coordinates with your child's room while helping us add to our collection.

 

3. Original Hand Painted Art: For that one-of-a-kind look, we offer custom hand painted art to match your child's room.  The cost is $150.00 for an original 8x10 painting on watercolor paper. Your painting comes matted in one of our four color options. Gift Certificates are also available, contact us for details.

I like one of your designs, but the colors don’t work with my child’s room. Is there anything you can do?

Yes, we can recolor any image to match the colors in your child's room at an additional cost of $10 per design. To place this type of order, please use our Custom Design Contact Form to send us an e-mail.


Do I have options for font colors, wording order and size?

Yes! The font colors, sizes and placement used were chosen because we feel they best complement the overall look of the print. However, we know that your personal preferences may vary. You are always welcome to ask for a change and we will do our best to accomodate your request. Please note your change in the comments field when ordering or Contact Us and we'll send you a digital proof to view with your changes before ordering.


Can I order a Wall Art Print with no personalization? Yes! Some of our customers already have wooden wall letters or other items with the child's name in the room, but love our prints. You may order a Wall Art Print with no personalization- simply enter "no personalization" in the box when ordering. If you have any questions, feel free to Contact Us.

What medium is used to create the paintings?

All of the designs are based on original artwork by Brenna Catalano Rhoades.  The paintings are created using gouache, an opaque watercolor. Some designs incorporate pen and pencil work as well to enhance details.



How do I subscribe to your mailing list?

We keep an email newsletter subscription list that is double opt-in only. When you subscribe to our mailing list via our website you will receive a confirmation email. Once you have confirmed your subscription we will use your email address to send you our newsletter which will notify you of changes or updates to the site, new designs and/or promotions.To subscribe to our mailing list please visit our Newsletter page. We do not share your email address or mailing address with other companies. Please note that when you make a purchase from our site, you will be added to our mailing list. You may choose to opt-out at any time.


How can I give feedback on your products?

We value your business and would love to hear any comments you have about our products, website or designs, as they help us improve our services. When we receive comments from our customers regarding a good experience they’ve had with our products, we are inspired to share this via our Customer Testimonials page. We will ask your permission before we publish any of your comments and you may choose to list only your first name and city to protect your privacy. How do I get permission to use your images for my personal and/or business use?

As an art-based company, we take copyright infringement seriously. All images, designs and photos on this site are property of BC Design Studio and may not be used in any way without express permission of the artist. If you wish to ask permission to use a certain image, or have a licensing inquiry, please Contact Us. How is my personal information used?

Once you order from us, your personal information is used to process your order and is then kept on file.
