Your wedding is approaching- have your guests marked their calendars?

Everyone is very busy these days- this is where Save-the-Date cards that give guests advance notice of your wedding are useful. Not sure if you need them? Here are 5 reasons you may need to send Save-the-Dates:
1. You are getting married in the late Spring or Summer:
This time of year is prime season for graduations, weddings and family vacations, so you'll want to let your guests know about your wedding so they can plan their calendar accordingly.
2. Your wedding is on a weekday:
Some couples choose to have a weekday wedding to save money or secure a location that is otherwise booked on the weekend. In this case guests may need to take time off of work or figure out childcare arrangements, so letting them know early is considerate.
3. You are having a destination wedding:
When everyone, including the bride and groom are flying in for the wedding you'll need to provide guests with a lot of information- from hotel accommodations to activities and a Save-the-Date is a great way to accomplish this.
4. A large number of your guests will be traveling from out of town:
If you have family and friends coming from out of town, state or country, you'll want to let them know early so they can secure good rates for flights, hotel rooms, rental cars and more.
5. You want to share the news about your upcoming wedding and let guests know they are invited:
Save-the-Dates are a great way to get guests excited about your wedding and give them a preview of what is to come!
You'll want to send your Save-the-Dates out 5-9 months prior to your wedding. Not everyone on your guest list needs to receive a Save-the-Date, but you must send a wedding invitation to everyone who receives a Save-the-Date, so narrow down your guest list prior to sending to avoid any sticky situations.
